Even though Actron CP9135 is no more being produced, it's still a broadly available code readers within the automotive repair and parts industry. The CP9135 is OBD II compliant. It was the 2nd phase of automobile on-board diagnostics that standardized plug connections and tools to see trouble codes on all automobiles constructed from 1996 and beyond. Although some producers started submission to OBD-II scanners as soon as 1994 (for 1995 models), many remained as setting up first-phase on-board diagnostics (before the mandated date) taking the plug connections and code visitors/scan tools needed vehicle specific.

Locate the informationOranalysis link connector (DLC) around the vehicle. Make reference to the vehicle's user guide for the position of the DLC, if required. The most typical place for the DLC is underneath the driver's side dashboard close to the steering column. Inspect the plug from the CP9135 to be able to search for a plug with similar trapezoidal shape. Some DLCs (not every) may have a cover in it that needs elimination of the coverage to be able to plug the code readers into them. Other areas for DLCs (a smaller amount common) might be around the passenger side lower dash, behind the ashtray (some earlier Honda models) or perhaps in the middle console (unusual).
