How to Remove Engine for Yanmar SMViO45/55

This instruction show you guide on how  to remove engine for Yanmar SMViO45-5 SMViO55-5.

Yanmar Diagnostic Tool Adapter

 

 

Procedures:

(1) Swing the upperstructure so that the drain plug 2 of hydraulic oil reservoir 1 can position in the middle of the
tracks. Then lower the bucket to the ground and stop the engine.

(2) Open the engine hood rear cover 3 and remove it.
(3) Disconnect the battery negative cable 5 from the battery 4.
(4) Loosen three cap screws 6 to remove the side cover 7.
(5) Remove the bottom cover 8 and put an oil container under the drain plug 2 of the hydraulic oil reservoir.
(6) Remove the drain plug 2 to drain hydraulic oil. (Q'ty: 10 Gal(38L)) At this time, loosening or removing the filler cap 9 make oil
draining easier.
(7) Open the bonnet B 10.
(8) Open the bonnet R 11.
(9) Prepare a container for coolant draining.
(10) Remove the drain plug 12 to drain coolant. (Q'ty: 1.8 Gal((6.7L))
At this time, loosening or removing the radiator cap 13 make oil draining smoother
(11) Remove the bonnet B 10.
(12) Remove the bonnet R 11.
(13) Remove the canopy roof 14 and the canopy pole 15.
(14) Remove the floor step 16.
(15) Disconnect the engine speed control cable from the engine.
(16) Disconnect the pilot oil hoses 18 from the control valve.
Note :
Mark each hose to reinstall on the original position.
Plug each hose end and fittings on the control valve against dust
(17) Open the front cover 19 of the seat mount to disconnect two wiring couplers 20 and 21.
(18) Remove the seat mount 22.
Note :
Use sling belt, hook and hoist with enough strength and capacity to lift it up.
(19) Disconnect hydraulic hoses from the hydraulic pump.

Note :
Mark each hose to reinstall on the original position.
Plug each hose end and fittings on the control valve against dust.
(20) Remove the rear weight 23.
(21) Loosen two hose clips 24 to disconnect the hose (oil cooler - reservoir) from the reservoir.
(22) Loosen two hose clips 24 to disconnect the hose (oil cooler - swing motor) from the swing motor.
(23) Remove five cap screws to remove the engine subassembly 27.
Note :
Use sling belt, hook and hoist with enough strength and capacity to lift it up.
(24) Loosen the hose clip 70 28 to disconnect the air intake hose A 29 from the air intake manifold.Yanmar Smart Assist SA-Direct 2023
(25) Loosen the two hose clips 32 to disconnect the upper hose 30 and the lower hose 31 from the engine.
(26) Loosen four nuts to remove exhaust gas tube 33 from the engine.
(27) Loosen four cap screws to remove exhaust gas silencer 34 from the engine.
(28) Loosen two cap screws to remove the silencer bracket 35.
(29) Remove the silencer bracket 36 from the engine mount.
(30) Remove the duct 37, radiator 38 and shroud 39.
(31) Loosen four cap screws 40 to remove the vibroisolating rubbers.
(32) Remove the engine by lifting.
Note :
Always keep balance of the engine when lifting it.
